well, you need a bit of luck to win games at this level. france had that luck today. this was a good watch though. it's so clear to see when having a good manager elevates a squad. this france squad is so much better than belgium's but tedesco set them up so well today. future looks bright for belgium.

it was always going to be taking off a defender or a forward to bring on a midfielder and free kdb. neither decision is particularly optimal but tedesco has made his choice and taking off a forward does seem like the more conservative decision. perhaps he should have saved openda for the end of the game if this was always the plan though.
